While exactly who is performing is secret until the day here is a list (in no particular order) of who you have the opportunity to see over the 24 days.
Redlands String Quartet
The Redlands String Quartet is a group of players from the local area who love getting together to play all different types of music. We all play in local orchestras as well as performing together as a quartet at weddings and local concerts. Today we will be playing an assortment of Christmassy tunes, ranging from traditional to modern.
Thames Valley Chorus
Thames Valley Chorus are a men’s barbershop choir who sing in four-part close-harmony. They rehearse most Tuesday evenings at Bulmershe School, Woodley from 7:30pm to 10pm. They love to perform to an audience and their performance this evening will include a mix of seasonal, festive and up-tempo songs.
Wokingham Choral Society
Wokingham Choral Society was formed in July 1951 and membership is now over 100 singers. WCS performs two classical concerts a year with professional orchestras and soloists; a charity Christmas carol concert and a summer concert of a lighter music. Each summer the choir goes on tour. Wokingham based Jaxannah are a delightful close harmony singing group, offering a wide repertoire of show songs, love ballads and Christmas Classics. The keyboard and violin performances ensure a complete and unique live audio accompaniment.
Lydia will sing some of her favourite songs, accompanied by her acoustic guitar and is really excited to be contributing to the Wokingham Living Advent Calendar for a fourth year. Lydia can often be seen busking in Reading and Bracknell town centres and also enjoy’s taking part in local open mic nights. She is currently taking A-Levels at the Holt School and is busy applying to universities offering contemporary music courses.
Marisa and Jack
Marisa and Jack have been playing together for 8 years and are the best of friends! They love putting their own spin on classic tunes, especially Christmas ones!
St Teresa’s Parents
Wokingham Parents Christmas Concert speaks for itself. Gareth, Kendel and Pauly come together as parents of children from St Teresa’s School. They all became friends and realised they all loved music and decided to put together a little trio to perform for Christmas. They all have backgrounds in music and performance and it was a fun idea to get together for this occasion.
We are The Barberettes, based in Woodley, Berkshire who are a dynamic, award winning ladies chorus who sing unaccompanied in four part a capella harmony. We perform regularly around Berkshire and beyond with our repertoire spanning 100 years of popular music. You can book us for corporate events, weddings, Xmas parties and more!

Pauly, originally from Australia, has performed music since the age of 4. His dream to play music at a young age on an international scene became reality and he found himself living in Kentucky, USA touring the nation with his music. He has written many songs that have been played on Radio and he has performed in theatres, festivals and many concert venues. He has opened shows for legends such as Tommy Emmanuel, Willie Nelson, Keith Urban and Little Feat. He resides in Wokingham now and has become a local musician still with big aspiration’s to inspire people with music.
Irish Frank Doherty

Soul What! are a captivating acoustic guitar and vocal duo playing stripped back versions of your favourite classic soul, rock and pop hits from the 60’s through today. Stylish, versatile and fun – we expertly bring an exciting and unique twist to your event. Aretha Franklin, Amy Winehouse, James Brown, Stevie Wonder, Prince and a whole lot more!
For this event, we will also be playing “stripped back versions of your favourite Christmas songs – with a strong gospel influence.”
Solo Artist and lead singer from the band Foxx, he has worked all over the world performing and was a finalist in the last 10 of the very first X-Factor
Emma Woolford is a 13 year old singer who has been performing publically for 2 years. At that time she started learning keyboards to back herself. She has performed at a number of local events such as the Berkshire Talent Showcase, The Wokingham Fair and The Red Sky Festival in Padworth. Tonight she will be singing a mix of well-known covers and Christmas songs.
Hannah, who is usually busking on the streets of Bracknell and Wokingham, is especially excited to be welcoming in the festive season with her string of delightful Christmas carols!
YouTooMusic’s purpose is to encourage ‘used to play’ musicians to rediscover their musical talent. This is done through running workshops and events which are easy to get involved with. This is the first performance by YTM’s musicians since the group was formed in early 2019. Put your hands together for some brave performers!
Jamie Dsouza is an award winning comedian. He has featured on BBC Radio 4 and, even better, BBC Radio Berkshire!

Steppin Out Troupe
Steppin Out was launched in 2015 for children in Berkshire to develop and encourage their love of performing arts.
With the support of talented teachers, we have classes in Drama, Street Dance, Jazz, Tap, Singing, Musical Theatre Private singing tutorials, Pop Singing and termly specialist workshops with leading industry experts. These have included Stage Fighting and Combat, Les Miserables, Shrek, Legally Blonde, Costume Making, Mamma Mia, Hairspray, Wicked and acting for TV, Outreach projects from Read College and PPA and a workshop with Carl Tracy from Nickelodeon, to name some of our favourites!
The Gas Trick Band
The Gas Trick Band have been playing pubs, festival, charity events and private functions in and around Berkshire for the last seven years. Bringing their eclectic mix of rock, indie, ska and pop with a twist they aim to turn every occasion into a party!!
Zarb Family and Friends
The kids concert is a Pauly Zarb family friendly event with the kids that have lessons with Pauly and perform at other events that Pauly organises. Building the confidence of the youth is what it is all about.
The Kids concert brings a fun comfortable environment for each individual to play music with a Christmas spirit.
Music has been a part of Emma’s life since the day she was born. She composed her first song at the age of twelve and has been writing songs ever since. Family weekends at home were always about friends coming around eating, drinking and then getting the guitars out and jamming into the early hours.
Fleur Stevenson and Hugh Turner
Fleur Stevenson is fast establishing herself at the forefront of an exciting new breed of jazz vocalists taking London by storm. Gifted with a honeyed tone, an offbeat sense of humour and a naturally charismatic stage presence, Fleur creates an instant rapport with her audience through sparkling narrative and an unerring instinct for choosing the right material to showcase her talent.
Hugh Turner will be accompanying her on guitar and is highly regarded in the Berkshire area as one of the best Jazz guitarists on the scene.
